Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, MLB Postseason

Joe Buck rubs salt in the wounds of Braves by highlighting huge loss (Video)

FOX Sports and Joe Buck decided Atlanta Braves fans hadn’t suffered enough in Game 3.

The Atlanta Braves were humiliated in Game 3, so FOX Sports and Joe Buck decided to rub it in.

Between Kyle Wright and Grant Dayton, the Braves gave up 11 runs in the top of the first inning to the Los Angeles Dodgers. That was most runs allowed in a postseason inning in the history of the MLB. It was one run worse than the Braves allowing 10, also in the top of first inning, to the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 5 of the 2019 NLDS. That was the Worst Inning Ever until it wasn’t.

Joe Buck doesn’t care that his broadcasting partner is an Atlanta Braves legend.

With Baseball Hall of Fame right-handed pitcher John Smoltz sitting only a few feet away from him, Buck was just hamming it up to further point out the Braves’ misery. By saying nothing with the worst graphic ever created since 28-3, Buck ruined all credibility with Braves Country for the rest of time. No, we’re not amused at all and nobody cares about your stupid graphics, FOX.

Braves Country cannot wait to turn on the pre-game and hear from Frank Thomas, David Ortiz and Alex Rodriguez on how the Dodgers won three games last night to have full control of the series, despite being down 2-1 in a best-of-seven. Los Angeles can win the NLCS because the Dodgers are a great team, but we all know where FOX’s allegiance lie and who they’re rooting for.

It’s pretty super awkward too, as the Braves have most of their games televised on FOX Sports South. From Gulfport, Mississippi to Montgomery, Alabama to Nashville, Tennessee to Charlotte North, Carolina to Clemson, South Carolina to Atlanta, Georgia, all of Braves Country that hadn’t already gone to bed and was still watching FS1 for some reason saw that graphic and died inside.

So when the Braves are facing the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2020 World Series at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas and you’re dying for the ratings you wish you could have with the Dodgers vs. the hated Houston Astros, you’ll be thanking your lucky stars Braves Country is championship-starved and will watch this game on mute just to not hear you talk anymore.

On behalf of all of Braves Country who hated every second of that clip: Joe Buck Yourself.
