Kiké Hernandez ties Game 7 with clutch pinch-hit homer (Video)

Kiké Hernandez hit a clutch homer to tie Game 7 of the NLCS.

Game 7 of NLCS between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves is everything fans could have hoped for. The excitement continued in the bottom of the sixth with the Dodgers at the plate.

Kiké Hernandez got the call to pinch-hit for Joc Pederson. That decision makes Dave Roberts look like a mastermind because Hernandez hit a ball well over 400 feet to tie the game at 3-3.

Kiké Hernandez ties it up in the sixth

This was an absolute blast off the bat of Hernandez. Everyone knew it right away and all the runs the Braves have left on the board began to loom large the second the ball landed.

The drama in this game is real. The home run was followed up by a double and the Dodgers appeared to be set for a rally. But a few batters later the Braves threw Chris Taylor out at home and the plays at the plate continued.

The Hernandez homer is yet another play from this game alone that can go down in Dodgers lore if they are able to win this game. And we have not even seen Clayton Kershaw yet. Once again, the drama is too much to handle.

Hernandez went 0-4 Saturday in Game 6 and it may have been seen as a bit of a risk to pinch-hit him in such a big spot. But he ended up delivering in the best way possible, so all the hypotheticals are obsolete.
