Could another incredible update be on the way for the New York Mets and their fans? On Thursday, major news arrived to Queens, as the club pulled off a monster trade with the Cleveland Indians to acquire superstar shortstop Francisco Lindor.

On social media, thousands of folks have lost their minds. At the same time, is pitcher Trevor Bauer trying to tell us something? The free-agent hurler himself took to Twitter to post his thoughts on the trade and Mets fans are surely going to be intrigued by it.

All it takes is a few words from Bauer to get people talking. This most certainly is the case following the Lindor trade. The Mets have been mentioned several times in reports as a potential landing spot for the Cy Young Award winner.

Last season for the Cincinnati Reds, Bauer was nothing short of fantastic. In the shortened 60-game season, the hard-throwing righty posted an impressive 1.73 ERA. As you might imagine, there are countless teams who would love to add him to their rotation starting this season.

At the same time, he’s not going to be cheap and will surely be demanding top dollar. Will new Mets owner Steve Cohen be the one to give it to him? That’s a question we’ll have to wait on to find out.

With that being said, after making such a big splash in trading for Lindor, the Mets most definitely are a more desirable team to join. Only time will tell if Bauer decides he wants to hop in on for the fun with the team in Queens.
