Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. crushed a solo home run to extend the American League’s lead to 2-0 in the 2021 MLB All-Star Game.
Remember when the Amrican League took an early 1-0 lead in the MLB All-Star Game after Aaron Judge scored on an RBI single by Marcus Semien? Well, they added another run to their total, thanks to Toronto Blue Jays star slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
In the top of the third inning, Guerrero stepped up to the plate to face off against Corbin Burnes of the Milwaukee Brewers. Guerrero sent Burnes’ third pitch into orbit and deep into the left field stands of Coors Field to extend the American League’s lead to 2-0.
Perhaps the greatest thing about that clip is seeing a mic’d up Fernando Tatis Jr. throw both hands on top of his head as soon as Guerrero’s bat made contact with the baseball. Let’s be real, that was every viewers reaction seeing that solo home run nearly travel out of the stadium.
Simply put, that homer by Guerrero was a thing of beauty.
