Baseball fans can’t believe Braves magic to go up 2-0 on Dodgers

The Atlanta Braves take a 2-0 NLCS lead after walking off against the Los Angeles Dodgers for the second-straight night.

Just when you thought nothing could top Game 1 of the National League Championship Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves, Game 2 happened on Sunday. And just like on Saturday, it was the Braves that were walking off at the expense of the defending World Series champions.

With the game tied 4-4 in the bottom of the ninth, outfielder Eddie Rosario stepped up to the plate with Dansby Swanson on second base with two outs on the board. All he had to do was notch a hit off Dodgers reliever Kenley Jansen. Rosario did just that, as he hit a single to center field, allowing Swanson to score at home to clinch the 5-4 victory.

Baseball fans shared their feelings about the Braves, who finished the season with an 88-73 record, holding a 2-0 series lead over the Dodgers.

Braves walk off for second straight night, thanks to Eddie Rosario

Rosario’s single in the ninth was not the only highlight he made in Game 2. In the eighth inning, Rosario ran from second base to home on a single by Ozzie Albies and narrowly got his hand on the plate ahead of the tag by catcher Will Smith to cut Atlanta’s deficit to 4-3.

Austin Riley, who played the hero with his walk-off single in Game 1, helped tie the game that same inning with a double to center field, allowing Albies to touch home plate.

The Dodgers may be in a 0-2 hole to start the NLCS, but they have been in this position before. Let’s not forget that they were down 0-2 to the Braves in the NLCS last year, yet won the pennant in seven games. You can never count them out, and Atlanta knows that firsthand.

The Braves will now look to bring that magic to Hollywood, as they take on the Dodgers on their home field for Game 3 on Tuesday.
