Freddie Freeman gave the Atlanta Braves the lead once again after this towering moonshot off Houston Astros left-hander Framber Valdez in the bottom of the third inning.
After his Atlanta Braves relinquished a four-run lead, All-Star first baseman Freddie Freeman crushed Framber Valdez’s offering deep into the Halloween night.
The Braves took an easy 4-0 lead in Game 5 of the 2021 World Series, thanks to a grand slam off the bat of outfielder Adam Duvall. However, the Braves squandered that lead over the next two innings to the Houston Astros. With the game tied up at four runs apiece, Freeman decided he needed to put the Braves back on with one of the biggest deep flies he has ever hit before.
He got every last little bit of this sinker thrown by Valdez.

With a 460-foot moonshot, Braves Country felt so much better after blowing an early four-run lead. This will be a bullpen game the rest of the way for both teams. If Atlanta wins Game 5, the Braves will win their first World Series Championship since 1995. Houston needs to win this game, as well as two more at home in Houston to overcome a 3-1 series deficit to the Braves.
Up to this point, Atlanta has not lost a postseason game at Truist Park this October. The Braves stole Game 1 in Houston early last week. After getting blown out in Game 2, the Braves have won the first two games of this best-of-seven series in Atlanta. Again, they only need to win one more game to win the World Series. This team has been clutch of late, and Freeman has been as well.
Freeman’s home run was a statement, as the Braves are not going to shrink in the big moment.
