Braves: Jorge Soler’s Game 6 home run ball going for ridiculous asking price

If you wanted to win Jorge Soler’s Game 6 home run that helped the Atlanta Braves win the World Series, you are going to have to take out a loan.

With the lack of MLB news due to the ongoing lockout, fans can always look back to fond memories involving their favorite teams. For the Atlanta Braves fanbase, they do not need to look far, as they won the World Series at the conclusion of the 2021 season. Those interested can own a piece of history from the Fall Classic, but it will come at a hefty price.

The home run ball that Braves outfielder Jorge Soler hit in Game 6 of the World Series is up for auction through SCP auctions. But, the minimum bid for the baseball is $25,000.

Manuel Ramos is the man who happened to retrieve the home run ball that landed outside of Minute Maid Park. At a watch party at his apartment, Ramos spotted the ball from the fifth-floor balcony, ran downstairs and got it.

For those Braves fans interested in bidding on the three-run home run ball have until Feb. 5 to do so. The bidding will officially close at 10:00 p.m. ET.

Soler was the star of the World Series for Atlanta, and he essentially ended things early against the Houston Astros in Game 6. In the top of the third inning with two runners on base, Soler sent a 83-mph cutter from Luis Garcia out of Minute Maid Park, giving Atlanta a 3-0 lead. The Braves went on to win the game 7-0 to win their first Commissioner’s Trophy since 1995.

After the game, Soler was presented with the World Series MVP award. In the six game series, Soler slashed .300/.391/.800 while recording three home runs, six RBI and six hits.

If you are a Braves fan that happens to have the funds, the clock is ticking to get this Game 6 ball.
