Look: Ken Griffey Jr.’s Zoom background is an all-time flex

MLB legend Ken Griffey Jr. might have just changed the game again, this time on how athletes get interviewed on Zoom.

Ken Griffey Jr. sat down with CBS Sports’ Ryan Fagon, for a Zoom interview on Tuesday Morning, and instead of having a regular green screen background, Griffey opted to have his impressive trophy collection on full display.

Fagan was so impressed that he snapped a picture and shared it on Twitter.

During the interview, Fagan talked about Griffey’s background and Griffey responded by mentioning if he interviewed in his garage the scenery would have been way different.

“Well, I can go into my garage and we can match up. You don’t want to see my garage right now. We’re doing spring cleaning,” Griffey Jr. responded.

Ken Griffey Jr.’s Gold Glove trophy collection is a display of his stellar career

Griffey was an amazing player, whose career in the MLB lasted for 22 years. He has played with the Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds, and the Chicago White Sox. So it is not a shocker that he racked up an impressive collection of trophies and accolades. Griffey has won 10 Gold Glove awards, seven Silver Slugger awards, an MVP award, and a slew of other awards.

Griffey’s zoom background appeared to just display the Gold Glove trophies. But another room likely occupies more of his many awards.

Fans will have to wait and see if Griffey displays that room in another Zoom interview.
