Free-agent pitcher Zack Greinke agreed to a one-year, $8.5 million contract to return to the Kansas City Royals. The deal contains $7.5 million in incentives, per source. Here’s a full breakdown of the contract:
$450,000 each for 90, 95, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135 innings.
$300,000 each for 140, 145, 150, 155, 160, 165, 170, 175, 180, 185 innings.
MLB rumors: Miguel Rojas, Los Angeles Dodgers
Veteran infielder Miguel Rojas and the Los Angeles Dodgers agreed to a two-year, $11 million contract extension that includes a $1.5 million signing bonus. The breakdown of the contract, according to a source, is $3.5 million in 2023 and $5 million in 2024 with a $5 million club option for 2025 ($1 million buyout).
