Best MLB prop bets today (Back Jeffrey Springs’ hot start to season)

Another day, another edition of MLB prop bets!

Yesterday, I hit two of my three picks focusing on pitching matchups, so I’m going back to the well with two more starters that I like on Thursday.

With just seven games in MLB, betting the prop market may be the best way to find some value without taking a run line pick tonight:

Best MLB prop bets today

  • Jeffrey Springs UNDER 4.5 Hits Allowed (+105)
  • Jhony Brito UNDER 5.5 Hits Allowed (-135)

Jeffrey Springs UNDER 4.5 Hits Allowed (+105) – DraftKings Sportsbook

Jeffrey Springs has been lights out this season, allowing just three hits and no runs over his first two starts (13.0 innings).

Springs has been dominant, striking out 19 batters in the process. Now, he has to face a Boston Red Sox team that hasn’t been bad on offense this season despite a 5-7 record.

Boston is just 18th in MLB in OPS against lefties this season, and Springs has been too hot for me to fade him at plus money in this prop.

Jhony Brito UNDER 5.5 Hits Allowed (-135) – DraftKings Sportsbook

New York Yankees youngster Jhony Brito is making a case that he should remain in the rotation once Carlos Rodon and Luis Severino return through his first two starts of his career.

Brito has allowed just five hits and one earned run across two starts (10.0 innings) so far this season.

The Yankees have limited him to 76 and 92 pitches in his first two starts, so I think this is a safe under since Brito likely won’t work past the fifth inning. Minnesota is 27th in OPS this season and 22nd in hits.

This number is a little disrespectful given how well Brito has pitched this season.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
