Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Joe Kelly knows he’s a villain to Houston Astros fans, and he couldn’t care in the slightest.
Kelly has long been vocal about the Astros’ cheating scandal. Heck, he’s been more than vocal, if that’s even possible.
The Dodgers reliever plunked Alex Bregman and called Carlos Correa a b**** just last season! He started a benches-clearing incident and made an iconic snarling face towards the Houston dugout. It was legendary, and he’s ready to back that up once again.
“I mean, just being real. People are sort of fake nowadays so a lot of people that talk shit online wouldn’t do it in person. They usually hide behind the computer. …But whatever. People be b*****,” Kelly said.
I mean, sure. Joe Kelly doesn’t give a damn. He was also thrilled about playing in front of a packed Minute Maid Park.
“It’s about time. I think every stadium should be like that. If people are comfortable coming, let them come. … If people are vaccinated and want to take the risk, let them,” Kelly added.
Houston Astros play host to Los Angeles Dodgers in rivalry’s next chapter
The Astros are holding onto second place in the AL West, just behind the Oakland Athletics, while the Dodgers are trailing the surging San Diego Padres by a half-game.
In Houston, the Dodgers should be subject of boos by Astros faithful, in part due to how they’ve reacted since the revelation of the sign-stealing scandal.
