Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Brett Anderson sent some serious shade at Trevor Bauer on Twitter by comparing their career trajectories.
There are several reasons Trevor Bauer shouldn’t see the sun again.
The first and most important are the allegations of sexual assault he’s facing from multiple women.
The massive shade sent his way by fellow MLB pitcher Brett Anderson should do the rest.
“Crazy to think that I could never get anyone out ever again and still feel better about my career than Trevor Bauer’s,” Anderson tweeted.
Brett Anderson’s dig at Trevor Bauer was perfectly aimed
Anderson started the night by tweeting YouTuber Eric Sim:
“[Eric Sim] hey you know what content is cool…anything not associated with anything to do with Bauer.”
Anderson didn’t stop there. He responded to people replying to his tweets as well.
One person sent a screenshot of his latest start for the Brewers. He lost after giving up six runs in 3.1 innings. The problem is that performance literally makes his point.
Better to be Brett Anderson and have a rough outing on the mound than to be Bauer, accused of violently abusing women.
When someone tried to suggest Bauer needs help, not derision, Anderson had a gif for that.
Others tried to use his tenure with the Dodgers as ammunition against Anderson. He swatted down those attacks quickly.
As one Twitter user put it, “Brett Anderson didn’t pitch today but still earned a W.”
Anderson is in his 13th season pitching in the majors. This year he’s 4-6 with an ERA of 4.09. He and the Brewers are in first place in the NL Central with the third-best record in baseball. They’re gearing up for the playoffs.
Bauer is on administrative leave from the Dodgers for the foreseeable future.
