Twins first baseman Miguel Sano’s home run at Fenway Park against the Red Sox was the longest of the 2021 MLB season and one of the biggest ever.
Miguel Sano now owns the record for the longest home run at two MLB ballparks.
On Wednesday, the Twins first baseman absolutely clobbered a homer at Fenway Park, sending it 495 feet and out of the park.
The longest home run of the statcast era at Fenway before Sano’s literal moonshot belonged to Gary Sánchez at 479 feet in 2018. Sano obliterated that mark.

It was the longest home run of the 2021 season so far and the longest since Ronald Acuña Jr. hit one 495 feet against the Red Sox last September. Tommy Pham’s 486-yard homer was the previous longest for this year.
That wasn’t even the longest home run of Sano’s career though. He hit one 496 feet at Target field against the White Sox in 2019.
