The Houston Astros got another rough break as Luis Garcia left Game 2 of the ALCS with an apparent injury.
Things aren’t exactly going Houston’s way as the Astros are trailing the Red Sox and their starting pitcher for Game 2 is apparently injured.
Luis Garcia wasn’t able to get through the second inning before he was taken out of the game with what appears to be an injury.
His departure came after he gave up a grand slam in the first inning to J.D. Martinez.
Luis Garcia injury update: How long will Astros pitcher be out?
It’s not currently clear what Garcia’s injury is or how severe it may be, but none of this is any good for Houston, especially considering how Lance McCullers Jr. was left off Houston’s ALCS roster because of an injury.
For depth reasons, Houston really needed Garcia to be able to eat some innings today. They used eight pitchers in the Game 1 win over Boston. Unfortunately for them, that wasn’t the case with Garcia leaving the game early.
Making matters worse, the Red Sox added a second grand slam in the second inning to put the Astros down 8-0 in Game 2 of the ALCS.
