The Atlanta Braves World Series celebration parade wouldn’t be complete without Joc Pederson and his famed pearl necklace.
It may seem goofy and odd, Joc Pederson and his pearls have become a welcomed sight in Atlanta. The Atlanta Braves likely don’t get to the 2021 World Series, let alone win it, without his presence and now he’s giving a few presents out to Braves fans during Atlanta’s World Series parade.
Pederson has become well known for wearing a rather unconventional necklace during his time in Atlanta: a pearl necklace.
It’s odd, it’s unique, and it’s fitting given Pederson’s fairly brash and entertaining personality. During the World Series parade, Pederson took the opportunity to give some jewelry out to fans who made it out to celebrate.

It’s not clear if those are real, genuine pearls on those necklaces that are being handed out to fans, but Pederson could probably afford it if they are. Pederson is currently entering into free agency after declining his $10 million option with his old contract.
It seems plausible that Pederson will be able to get another lucrative deal somewhere, even possibly with the Braves. He’s talented and, even if he’s not the most efficient hitter at the plate, he can be pretty productive.
Throughout his 2021 regular season appearances with the Atlanta Braves after being traded from the Chicago Cubs, Pederson had a .249 batting average and seven home runs. That’s not exactly the most impressive pair of numbers ever, but it is worth noting that Pederson had 22 RBIs and he can be dangerous when he’s on a hot streak.
