San Diego police arrested a man after a Ford Bronco was spotted inexplicably driving on and tearing up chunks of Petco Park’s field.
Driving off road and baseball are two very American things that should be celebrated safely and enjoyed responsibly. That said, these two things should not be combined and a man in San Diego is finding that out the hard way.
Police have reportedly arrested a man after a Ford Bronco was spotted driving around inside Petco Park, which is home of the San Diego Padres. In case anyone wasn’t aware, driving inside a baseball stadium is a bad idea.
This is just one of the most absurd things. Check out the video:
There is no reason as to why a shiny Ford Bronco should be seen tearing up a team’s field. None whatsoever.
San Diego Padres: Police arrest man after SUV spotted driving inside Petco Park
Please don’t drive your car all over a professional team’s playing surface. This request shouldn’t have to be made. Nobody should have to tell you it’s a bad idea to test out your car’s ability to drive “off road” on a Major League Baseball team’s field.
And yet, here we are, telling you it’s a bad idea to go drive on a MLB team’s field.
The Padres don’t deserve this. The grounds crew, the folks responsible for patching all of that mess back up, definitely shouldn’t have to deal with this sort of nonsense. If you’re itching to look cool in your Bronco, go find an OHV park or some trails where this is allowed. Or take it to a mall. Just don’t go do doughnuts on someone’s baseball field.
