A look at a dream Chicago White Sox starting lineup for the 2023 season.
Coming off their 81-81 season, the Chicago White Sox will hope for better things ahead in 2023. This remains a young team capable of contending. A few additions this offseason can make all of the difference for them.
One of the more important missions of this offseason is upgrading the lineup. The White Sox weren’t a team to be feared at the plate last year. This must change.
A dream White Sox lineup for the 2023 season will include some familiar names and also a couple of additions. How close can we get to reaching this fantasy?
1) Dream White Sox starting lineup: Tim Anderson bats first, SS
Everyone is in agreement here. Tim Anderson belongs at shortstop and leading off for the White Sox next year. If there’s one player whose health seemed to affect them the most in 2022, it would probably be him.
Anderson was limited to only 79 games. He did his usual thing, slashing .301/.339/.395 in the limited time he was able to take the field. White Sox fans all over are hoping for a healthy and productive year out of him in 2023.
Anderson now has three straight seasons of hitting over .300, all beginning back in 2019 when he won the American League batting title. Although another batting title might not be in the works, it’s definitely an aspiration.
In our dream White Sox lineup, Anderson is joined by a brand new double play partner. We already know Anderson will be at shortstop for the team. Batting right behind him in the number two spot is this very available second baseman.
