With Alex Reyes and Andrew Chafin off the board, the free-agent reliever market is starting to move. Here’s three fits for left-hander Zack Britton.
Left-handed reliever Zack Britton tried to come back early from Tommy John surgery in 2022, but was placed on the 60-day Injured List on Oct. 1 after dealing with left arm fatigue. It marked what was highly likely his last game with the New York Yankees, and also opened him up to a very intriguing free agency.
While Britton, 35, sports a 3.13 ERA in 641 career innings, he’s coming off a season in which he pitched in only three games (0.2 innings) while walking six batters. As a former All-Star reliever, Britton is certainly going to garner interest on the free-agent market. It just remains to be seen what kind of contract he might command.

Zack Britton free-agent fit: Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers have added Alex Reyes and J.P. Feyereisen, two pitchers coming off serious injuries, and are believed to be open to adding another reliever.
Britton would be a strong fit on a low-risk contract, and continue a trend that the organization has had in taking fliers on talented pitchers coming off an injury.
