Ronald Acuña Jr. savagely trolls Trevor Bauer’s Conor McGregor strut on Twitter

Ronald Acuña Jr. just put Trevor Bauer in his place on Twitter over his Conor McGregor strut.

Ronald Acuña Jr. clearly prefers Marc Gasol’s Conor McGregor strut over Trevor Bauer‘s.

While you can’t do better than the original, Gasol’s Walking in Memphis is about as good as any 7-foot human can do on this planet. It may not have been all that coordinated, but he’s a champion and Bauer goes home after getting swept by Acuña’s Atlanta Braves, who didn’t allow a run over 22 innings in their best-of-three series. This was the most savage Twitter takedown.

Who doesn’t love baseball’s new and exciting rivalry between Acuña and Bauer?

While Clayton Kershaw and Mike Trout have offered next to no personality for years, we have two superstars with boisterous personalities in Acuña and Bauer ripe for the picking. Acuña may be the most talented outfielder in all of baseball at only 22 years old. Bauer is among the best right-handers in the game. While he usually backs up his talk with this play, his team sure let him down.

Bauer tweeted shortly after his Cincinnati Reds lost Game 2 to the Braves on Thursday afternoon about how he doesn’t think Braves fans like him or if there’s any hope for Houston Astros fans. After a year and change in the Queen City, Bauer will be hitting unrestricted free agency. Though he could give the Braves the best rotation in baseball, he’s not coming to Atlanta after this.

Acuña had three hits in Game 2 off Reds pitching, as he drove in the deciding run when he plated Austin Riley in the bottom of the fifth inning. After being incredibly inconsistent vs. the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLDS a season ago, Acuña showed great maturity on the field to help the Braves advance for the first time in the postseason since 2001. He’s why they didn’t go home this year.

Atlanta awaits the winner of the best-of-three series between the Miami Marlins and the Chicago Cubs. Game 2 in Wrigley Field was postponed due to inclement weather up in Chicago on Thursday. The Braves won’t play again until early next week after that series is decided and the winner joins them at Minute Maid Park in Houston for the 2020 NLDS.

When Acuna goes yard again, he must do his own version of the McGregor strut rounding third.
