The San Francisco Giants could be sellers at the trade deadline. Here are three fan favorites that should be traded at the trade deadline.

The San Francisco Giants have fallen back to earth after their 107-55 season in 2021. Entering play on Tuesday, they were at 43-42 and in third place in the National League West. They are also two games back of the final NL Wild Card spot.

While they are still in the playoff picture, things haven’t looked good for them recently, as they are 6-15 in their last 21 games.

If they are sellers at the trade deadline, there are three fan favorites that they need to trade to get some prospects in return.

3 San Francisco Giants fan favorites that should be traded

1) Joc Pederson

Joc Pederson just signed with the San Francisco Giants in March, but he has quickly become a fan favorite since he has played so well.

Pederson, 30, will be an All-Star for the first time since being named an All-Star in 2015. In 75 games, Pederson is hitting .256/.332/.529 with an OPS+ of 138. He also has 17 home runs and 41 RBI, the former of which is tied for 11th in the National League.

Pederson only signed a one-year deal for $6 million this past offseason, so he could be a good rental for some team the way he was for the Atlanta Braves in 2021. After all, Pederson and the Braves ended up winning the World Series.
