The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of baseball’s iconic franchises. With success and high expectations have come plenty of letdowns.
There is a lot of history with the Dodgers franchise. Their roots go back to 1883 when they were founded as the Brooklyn Atlantics. Since their move from Brooklyn to Los Angeles, they have become an icon on both coasts.
With so many famous faces who played for them, the Dodgers have six World Series to their name. For all those titles though, the Dodgers have had many seasons in which they were close, but fell short of winning it all. The Dodgers have been swept in the World Series or had to battle the New York Yankees, or they just fell short altogether.
Despite coming up short, some of those teams seemed too good to lose, hence why Dodgers’ fans have faced their fair share of disappointing seasons. In no particular order, our first disappointing Dodger season goes back to when the team was still in Brooklyn.
