The Houston Astros should stay aggressive as they chase another pennant.

The Houston Astros have had a…turbulent offseason. Not only was their sign-stealing scandal finally unearthed and presented to the masses, but they lost GM Jeff Luhnow and manager AJ Hinch as a result of that scandal, all the while watching ace Gerrit Cole bolt for the New York Yankees.

Despite ALL of that, the Astros still retain one of the deepest lineups in baseball, a quality pitching staff with depth and experience in the rotation and in the bullpen, and a steady hand guiding the ship in veteran manager Dusty Baker. The Astros are eyeing their third pennant in four seasons, but the only way they’ll fight off rivals like the Yankees, Twins, and Angels in a truncated 60-game season is to go for broke at the deadline and try to acquire a few impact players behind the plate and on the mound.
