The New York Yankees need to trade Clint Frazier.

Despite the fact that he arrived in New York as the big prize of the deal that sent Andrew Miller to the Cleveland Indians, the New York Yankees have seemingly made it almost impossible for outfielder Clint Frazier to carve out a permanent role with the team despite the fact that his power and bat speed scream star potential.

The Yankees continue to make life as hard as possible on Frazier, removing him from the active big-league roster. They justified this by claiming that his path to playing time is blocked by many other great outfielders.

The Yankees need to trade Frazier if they aren’t going to give him an opportunity to play every day, and these teams could use him to either boost their chances of contending or secure a new long-term building block as they rebuild.

One of these four teams should trade for Clint Frazier.

Kansas City Royals

The Royals might fancy themselves contenders due to the fact they are playing in a wide-open AL Central, but Kansas City still needs another slugger next to Jorge Soler and Hunter Dozier in the order if they want to hit that next level. With the versatility of Whit Merrifield allowing him to start in the infield as well as the outfield, the Royals could open up a spot for Frazier if they are willing to part with one of their young pitchers like left-hander Kris Bubic.

Frazier is by no means a perfect player, as his defensive struggles are still a real problem that has cost the Yankees runs in the past, but Kansas City needs to add some more juice to their lineup if Mike Matheny wants to effectively complement an enticing starting rotation. The road to contention will be a long one for Kansas City, but that rebuild can be expedited by trading for Frazier.
