Free-agent pitcher Marcus Stroman once again made it clear he has zero interest in playing for the White Sox after they hired Tony La Russa.
The Chicago White Sox received plenty of hate from all over the MLB world once it was announced they had hired 76-year-old manager Tony La Russa. One person in particular who couldn’t have been more annoyed by the news was star pitcher Marcus Stroman.
Stroman has hit the free-agent market and is looking to join a new club. While White Sox fans had been hoping he’d give the team a hard look, Stroman made it incredibly clear that nothing and no amount of money will get him to put on a White Sox jersey next season.

As you can see in the tweet above, Stroman let everyone know on Twitter how disappointed he was in the White Sox hiring La Russa, especially after the skipper was charged with a DUI a day before he was hired. To make matters even worse for Chicago, Stroman doubled down and said no amount of dough would get him to sign with the White Sox.
Tell us how you really feel, Mr. Stroman. While ball clubs are going to be lining up to try and land his services, there’s just no way this story ends with the starting hurler taking the mound at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Stroman hasn’t taken the field since 2019, as he decided to opt out of the 2020 campaign due to coronavirus concerns. The former MLB All-Star has posted a 51-47 record in six seasons. He’ll look to get back on the hill next spring, but there’s just about no chance that happens with the White Sox.
