Justin Turner might finally leave the Dodgers this offseason.

COVID-19 fiasco notwithstanding, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been thrilled to have Justin Turner at the heart of their order for the last seven seasons. Turner went from a marginal player with the Mets to a consistent hitter and defender that helped the Dodgers win three pennants in four years while taking home the 2020 title.

Still, Turner’s journey in LA might be coming to a close given how free agency is in full swing, and he might leave the Dodgers if one of these three teams come calling.

Look for Justin Turner to end up with one of these three teams

Milwaukee Brewers

NL Central

Milwaukee is one of the most top-heavy teams in the league, as they have some of the best performers at their individual positions in the league in Christian Yelich, Devin Williams, and Josh Hader, but minimal depth around them. Priority No. 1 this offseason has to be getting Yelich some protection in the lineup, and adding Turner, who hit over .300 in four of his seven seasons with the Dodgers, could give them an experienced veteran who could hit in multiple spots in the order. Above-average offense and solid defense make for quite the combination, and turner could parlay that into a gig in Milwaukee.

Luis Urias, the big prize in the deal that sent Trent Grisham to San Diego, fell well short of expectations last year, and his brief MLB career hasn’t given Milwaukee a ton of indication that he’s suddenly going to break out. The NL Central is extremely competitive at the top, and every other team in that division is going to take a big step forward this offseason. Unless Milwaukee wants to get left in the dust, they need to swing for the fences and bring in some stars this offseason. Turner will be somewhat expensive, but he won’t break the bank.
