On his 80th birthday, former Cincinnati Reds great Pete Rose announced a partnership with sports recommendation service UpickTrade.
Former Cincinnati Reds great Pete Rose will go down as one of the best players in MLB history who will not receive induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. That all stems from his ban from professional baseball for gambling on games during his time as manager of the Reds. With Cooperstown now an impossibility, Rose is moving on to a passion of his.
On Wednesday, sports recommendation company, UpickTrade, announced that Rose will become an ambassador for the service. Rose will provide “exclusive daily baseball picks” for those who subscribe throughout this MLB season.
“We are thrilled to partner with Pete Rose, perhaps the greatest baseball player who ever lived, to provide our UPickTrade.com subscribers with exclusive and valuable content,” said Carlos Lazo, the CEO of UPickTrade.com and XOY Capital of Guadalajara, México, via a press release. “There are very few if any people in the world who know more about baseball than Pete Rose so his deep knowledge of the game and his experiences in gambling will blend well with our unique UPickTrade.com sports betting strategies and algorithms.”

According to UpickTrade’s official website, you can receive gambling advice from the baseball’s “hit king” for $89 per month. With the subscription, Rose will provide one-to-six picks per day while ranking them on a five-star rating system. Rose’s picks will include MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, golf, tennis and horse racing, and will be made available at least one hour prior to the start of the event.
Additionally, merchandise signed by Rose personally will be made available to subscribers, including a signed baseball (for nine-month subscribers) and signed bat (for 12-month subscribers), per Upick Trade’s press release.
“I’m excited to share my knowledge about baseball and sports on a daily basis for UPickTrade.com,” said Rose, via the press release. “The 2021 Major League Baseball season will be one of the most interesting ever and I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts on it every day with UPickTrade.com subscribers.”
Rose made a name for himself during his 24-year playing career between the Reds, Philadelphia Phillies and Montreal Expos. In that span, he won three World Series titles, three batting titles, two Gold Gloves, 17 All-Star Game nominations and the 1973 NL MVP award. To this day, Rose’s 4,256 hits, 3,562 games played, 14,053 at-bats and15,890 plate appearances sit atop as the most in MLB history.
In 1989, MLB banned Rose for life for betting on games. Rose was denied reinstatement into the league by commissioner Rob Manfred in 2015.
