Los Angeles Dodgers hurler Trevor Bauer was fired up after he struck out San Diego Padres slugger Fernando Tatis Jr.
On Sunday, MLB fans were able to enjoy quite the showdown between the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers. With Trevor Bauer getting the start for the Dodgers, this meant that we’d all be able to see a battle between the reigning NL Cy Young winner and Fernando Tatis Jr.
In the sixth inning, Bauer and Tatis danced, with the LA hurler winning the battle. As soon as Bauer rang up Tatis, he was fired up. Dodgers fans will love his reaction.
Trevor Bauer was jacked up when he struck out Fernando Tatis Jr. on Sunday
That reaction from Bauer really is priceless. He celebrated in style, and he had every right to do so there. Tatis is one of the most feared hitters in the game. On any given at-bat, he has the power to send the ball out of the park.
With that being said, Bauer is a savage on the mound and few people are better at humbling batters on any given day than he is. This was the case with Tatis in the LA-San Diego matchup. Don’t forget, Tatis made history in the offseason when he signed his 14-year, $330 million contract. He signed that deal with the expectation that he’d continue to blow up for the Padres.
Yet, Bauer brought him back to earth in a big way when they met. After winning the World Series last year, LA got even stronger by signing Bauer to his new deal. With him creating magical moments, which of course includes striking out Tatis, you better believe Dodgers fans are hyped to see this team try and repeat … even if they didn’t get the W on Sunday.
