One fan at Comerica Park looked like he stepped straight out of a time machine for Thursday’s game.
The Detroit Tigers are not giving fans a ton to cheer about in 2021. A rebuild is in place, but there was some joy at Comerica Park this week as the Tigers picked up a sweep over the free-falling Kansas City Royals.
But one sight from Comerica stood out above the rest and it had nothing to do with the action on the field. No, it had to do with a fan in the stands who looked like he was taking in any other Tigers game. Well, any other game in 1913.

Now this picture is simply amazing. But there was some actual context in the replies.
Assuming all this is correct, we are looking at a true staple in the state of Michigan. Reynolds Farley also has quite the resume.
But let’s have some fun with this for a moment, with no offense to Farley. Baseball is known as the nation’s pastime for a reason and this picture almost looks like one that was changed from black and white to color.
Alas, we just have a Tigers fan taking in a game, keeping score, and dressing comfortably. What more can one want at a baseball game?
The best part of all? The Tigers took home a 4-3 victory over the Royals and fans had a reason to cheer. Or in the case of this fan, he had a chance to sit back and take in a ballgame before heading back to his time.
