Cubs threw a no-hitter in LA while all of Chicago was sleeping

The Chicago Cubs threw a no-hitter against the Dodgers and no one saw it.

Fans all over Chicago will be waking up on Friday morning to some really good news. The Cubs threw a combined no-hitter against 2020’s World Series champs, the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 4-0 shutout marks a great start for the Cubbies as they head into the series with the Dodgers. This marks the second time the team has no-hit in Los Angeles in the past six years.

On the mound for the Cubs was Ryan Tepera (6.0 IP, 5BB, 4Ks) who had relief from his bullpen in the following: Ryan Tepera (1.0 IP, 1BB), Andrew Chafin (1.0 IP, 1BB) and Craig Kimbrel (1.0 IP, 1BB, 3K).

On Aug. 30, 2015, Jake Arrieta did the same.

Though most of Chicago was sleeping, the game ended well past midnight Eastern Time, there were some die-hards still awake and tweeting their excitement. Though, some of these tweets might just be from Dodgers haters.
