Watch security guard trade blows with angry Dodgers fans (Video)

Emotions ran high during the Los Angeles Dodgers’ series against the Houston Astros in Los Angeles, resulting in a brawl between fans and security.

Just about everyone knew the scenes would be heated when the Houston Astros showed up in Los Angeles this week for a series at Dodger Stadium.

It turns out the biggest brawl appears to have happened between Los Angeles Dodgers fans and security.

Jake Reiner of CBSLA posted multiple videos of an exchange between fans and security, including an exchange of blows.

A second video appears to show the fan involved in the confrontation being restrained and carried up the stadium steps by a group of security personnel.

That was far from the only hot spot at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday night. Dodgers and Astros fans nearly battled elsewhere in the park.

Emotions boiled over for Dodgers fans against the Astros

Dodgers fans are angry with the Astros over their sign-stealing scandal. Houston was found guilty of using illegal methods to steal signs throughout the 2017 season. They beat Los Angeles in the 2017 World Series. For Dodgers fans, they denied them a championship by cheating.

This is the first time the Astros have come to Dodger Stadium since the scandal broke. That means it’s the first time Dodger fans en masse have been able to come together to protest the team that stole a title from them.

The anger is understandable. The presence of inflatable trash cans at stadiums to troll the Astros is objectively funny. However, violence of any kind is not. Throwing objects in a ballpark is never acceptable. Shoving other fans or security is out of bounds.

Hopefully, fans cut out the chaos as the series continues.

Game 1 ended in Houston’s favor as LA’s bats went silent. On Wednesday night, the Dodgers responded by putting up seven runs in the first three innings, including two Mookie Betts home runs.
