The Francisco Lindor show is returning Tuesday night in Queens

For the first time in over a month, New York Mets fans will be able to enjoy watching Francisco Lindor make his brilliant plays in the field.

Due to a strained oblique, New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor has been out of action since July 16. Obviously, this has been a blow for the Mets in the NL East race, as they’re 2-8 in their last 10 games and 6.5 games behind the division-leading Braves.

Despite the team being on a terrible cold streak, good news has arrived: Lindor is back. On Tuesday afternoon, it was announced that Lindor has officially been activated off the Injured List and he’ll be ready to rock against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night.

The Mets are getting Francisco Lindor back at the right time

The timing really couldn’t be better for New York. One would assume Lindor’s return could provide a much-needed spark for this team. They’ve really looked terrible of late. Things got so bad offensively that even Steve Cohen called the players out on Twitter.

Now, Lindor will look to change things both at the dish and on the field. It’s no secret he’s had a first year to forget in Flushing, though. On the campaign – before going down with his injury – Lindor is hitting .228 with only 11 homers and 36 RBI in 87 games.

This wasn’t exactly what Mets fans were expecting from the superstar player in 2021. However, there’s still plenty of time this campaign for Lindor to re-write the script and change things in a big way for New York.

He can start by having a great game offensively and defensively against the Giants. Which Lindor will show up now that he’s off the Injured List? Mets supporters can’t wait to find out.
