San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants

Giants fans salty about Fernando Tatis Jr.’s very normal home run trot (Video)

San Francisco Giants fans heartily booed Fernando Tatis Jr. after the Padres shortstop did a stutter step while rounding third on a home run trot.

Fernando Tatis Jr. is one of the most exciting young players in baseball. He’s also one of the most controversial because he has the audacity to … *checks notes* … jog around the bases after a home run.

Tatis Jr. got a round of boos when he hit a home run in the third inning against the Giants and did a bit of a stutter step as he rounded third base.

Fans being less than thrilled about watching their team give up a home run makes sense. The Padres star was always going to draw their ire.

Still, that home run trot itself wasn’t anything to be salty over.
