The Houston Astros look ready to go all-in for Starling Marte

Per Heyman, the Phillies, Yankees, Mets, Astros, Rangers, Marlins, and several others are taking a look at Marte. According to fellow MLB insider Bob Nightengale, the Houston Astros have an incredibly high interest in Marte. Per Nightengale, Houston wanted to take care of business with Justin Verlander, and now they’ve shifted their focus to Marte.

Houston will have some fierce competition to try and sign him, though. The Yankees being among the teams wanting him makes sense too, as Brian Cashman and Aaron Boone are under some serious pressure entering the 2022 campaign.

With him always able to come up with some timely hits too, it’s no wonder that so many teams are chasing his signature. Soon enough we should find out where Marte will be playing next, with countless fans out there excited to see where he ends up.
