The Chicago White Sox are reportedly finalizing a deal with stud reliever Kendall Graveman on a three-year deal.
The Chicago White Sox are expected to be big-time players this offseason in going after wanted free agents and it looks like they’re kicking things off with a bang. That’s because the team is about to land stud reliever Kendall Graveman? It’s looking that way.
According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, the Astros are finalizing a three-year deal with the former Houston Astros hurler. Per Heyman, the contract would be worth $24 million.

It goes without saying, but this is a monster move by Chicago. Graveman is coming off a brilliant campaign with both the Seattle Mariners and Astros. Graveman was electric for Seattle, but Jerry DiPoto and Co. stunningly traded him to Houston before the deadline.
Graveman then made his way to Houston and continued to pitch at a high level. For the season, Graveman posted a 5-1 record and an impressive 1.71 ERA. In 56 innings of work, the righty gave up only 35 hits, while striking out 61 batters.
Because of how reliable he is coming out of the bullpen, several teams have shown interest in trying to sign him away from the Astros. Now, the White Sox appear the ones to be getting across the finish line.
Graveman started his career with Toronto back in 2014, and he’s since played for the Athletics, Mariners and Astros. The White Sox will become his fifth club already. With Chicago featuring some serious young talent, and winning the AL Central in 2021, fans are pumped to see what this team can accomplish in 2022. Signing Graveman is only going to make folks in the Windy City even more fired up for the new campaign to arrive.
