Jose Canseco thinks Aaron Judge needs to ‘get the hell out’ of New York

Noted steroid user and infamous Bash Brother Jose Canseco thinks Aaron Judge should leave the New York Yankees in free agency.

Jose Canseco is one of the more well-known personalities in baseball — specifically on social media and the airwaves. Anything Canseco says makes national news, especially if it involves a player in the modern game.

Hence, when Canseco was asked about pending free agent Aaron Judge, he prompted a story from just about every sports media outlet across the country — including ours.

Canseco commented on Judge getting booed during the Yankees postseason, suggesting that may be a catalyst to him leaving New York, per 95.7 The Game:

“100 percent and that may be one of the biggest reasons why. This man almost won the triple crown. He set an American League home run record…and his home crowd is booing him.”

Canseco went on the suggest he should get the hell out of New York, and called Manhattan a dump. But, I digress.

Should Aaron Judge leave the Yankees?

Aaron Judge could very well leave the Yankees, especially given their most recent contract offer to him. Brian Cashman made said offer public (it was about $100 million short of what Judge would receive now), and that didn’t help matters.

Judge bet on himself, and won.

Were he to leave New York, the most logical destination would be by the Bay. Judge is a native of Linden, California, which is about an hour outside of San Francisco. He grew up watching the Giants and Barry Bonds. While chasing the AL home run record, he mentioned that he considers Bonds the true home run king despite his flirtation with performance-enhancing drugs.

Still, it would be surprising to see Judge wear anything but pinstripes next year. He’s the face of the biggest franchise in professional baseball, and arguably sports. Why mess with that?
