Derek Jeter has a new job, the Dodgers may have cheated and some fake Braves Ronald Acuña rumors surfaced. All that and more from a busy Super Bowl weekend…in baseball.

Sure, Derek Jeter may not look like THAT guy anymore, but he still has plenty of influence in Major League Baseball.

Jeter held a minority stake in the Miami Marlins for years, but that is no longer the case. Along with his other ventures, Jeter still wands to have a foothold in the game he loves so dearly. That’s why he’ll be joining the FOX team this coming season, as announced on Super Bowl Sunday.

Jeter will join his former Yankees teammate, Alex Rodriguez, as well as his former foe, Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz.

Derek Jeter to join the FOX broadcast booth

Frank Thomas and host Kevin Burkhardt will also join the FOX pregame show, which has less to do with hard-hitting analysis and perhaps more goofing off with some old buddies from these legends’ playing days. Either way, it’s proven to be a hit in years past, and Jeter should fit right in once he gets his legs under him a bit.

YES, the official broadcast partner of the New York Yankees, had rumored interest in Jeter of late as well. However, the national sway of a company like FOX evidently was too intriguing to turn down.
