Giants fan has a hilarious custom jersey referencing failed free agent signing

The San Francisco Giants didn’t have a model offseason. Fans are taking the high road and memorializing it with jokes.

The San Francisco Giants had an offseason of “almosts”. They almost signed Aaron Judge. They almost signed Carlos Correa.

But at the end of the day, they only added Michael Conforto and brought back Joc Pederson on a qualifying offer. Not a horrible offseason, but given the profile of names the Giants were in the mix with, it was definitely a bummer for a team that was so close yet so far.

All the Giants can do now is press onward, hope the team they have is good enough to compete in the National League, and make upgrades via trades if necessary. But as they jump into the season, it’s hard not to feel the sting of what could have been.

Fans are dealing with that in a humorous way, which honestly, I commend them for.

One fan is keeping ‘Arson Judge’ close with a custom jersey

One fan created a custom, #99 jersey with the name “Arson.” He shared it on Reddit, and we’ve included it below as well:

Of course, this is a reference to the now-infamous Arson Judge Tweet from Jon Heyman that falsely indicated (with a spelling error) that Judge was signing with the Giants. A day later, the story flipped and Judge was re-signing with the Yankees.

Another user commented on the Reddit post saying they got a Correa jersey as a joke as well.

Clearly, San Francisco fans know how to deal with crappy situations, because if this were reversed, spoiled Yankees fans would have had an absolute fit and never forgiven Judge for leaving. I know, I’m one of them.

Good luck this season, guys.
