Best MLB prop bets today (Nick Lodolo, Jeffrey Springs among pitchers to trust)

Saturday’s Major League Baseball action has several intriguing pitching matchups, but I have two that I’m eyeing for my best prop bets.

And, they both happen to be young left-handed pitchers.

Betting props in MLB can be tough with game-to-game volatility, and since we don’t have much to go off of for this season yet, I’ll trust these two starters to stay hot:

Nick Lodolo OVER 7.5 Strikeouts (+105)

Nick Lodolo is a strikeout machine, punching out nine batters in his first outing this season.

The Cincinnati Reds left-hander has a favorable matchup on Saturday, as he takes on a Philadelphia Phillies team that ranks 26th in the league in strikeouts per game this season (9.71).

Lodolo averaged 6.89 strikeouts per game last season, clearing this number seven times in 19 starts. After a strong start to the 2023 campaign, I’ll take shot on him to get eight K’s against the struggling Phils.

Jeffrey Springs to Record a Win (-105) – DraftKings

Jeffrey Springs dazzled in his season debut, striking out 12 batters and allowing just one walk across six innings of work.

Now, he gets a shot at a terrible Oakland Athletics squad, and I like taking him to pick up the win rather than laying the juice with the Tampa Bay Rays on the moneyline.

The Rays are a perfect 7-0, sporting a +31 run differential and winning every game by at least four runs.

The team should be able to get up early in this game, and I’ll roll with Springs to keep the hot hand going.
